2022 Lilley Fellows Present Research Projects
After being selected to undertake in-depth research projects through EA's Lilley Fellowship program last March, five Upper School students worked with a faculty advisor and delved into their respective research over the summer. This fall, they presented their final capstone projects.
Philanthopy as a Way of Life
Dick Lowry ’54 and his wife Carol, who passed away in 2020, have expressed their loyalty to EA through lifelong philanthropy. Their gifts have been key to the school’s evolution, and include support for the purchase of the Newtown Square land that became today’s campus, naming Lowry House, and endowing the Head of School position.
Endowed Scholarships Honor EA Coaches
As a way to honor some of EA’s most beloved coaches and support future generations of students, EA alumni and parents joined together to establish endowed scholarship funds during the Shape Tomorrow campaign.
CTL Evolves EA Teaching Excellence
Grace Limaye’s respect for the art of teaching first took hold at The Episcopal Academy — when she was just a student here. “What was true 30 years ago is still true today,” Limaye reflects. “EA teachers stand apart because they're deeply invested in students' learning and well-being.”
New EA Playground Takes Shape
EA plans to break ground on an exciting, new Lower School playground by this fall. The existing playground will remain in operation through the majority of the 2022-23 school year with the hope of completing and opening the new playground by spring 2023.
Why and How We Give
When Tim Kent, Hon. retired from the faculty in 2020—after 37 years of teaching classics and coaching, including 10 Inter-Ac titles in squash and tennis—he left an enduring legacy. It carries on to this day in the students whose lives he helped transform, including a young Amachie Ackah ’90.
